Mt. Howard was first flown by hang gliders soon after the gondola was built in the early 70’s.

Wallowa Lake July 3rd, 2004
Wallowa Lake often reaches it’s highest water level around July 10th as diminishing snow melt runoff is exceeded by water releases from the 27’ dam at the outflow “north end” of wallowa lake. The water storage behind the dam is used for agriculture purposes irrigating a lorge portion of the upper valley.
